thought i stumbled across a gem until i realized the last update was 3 years ago

i saw the thumbnail and was instantly hooked, i absolutely fucking loved the art style, it was realistic in a certain sense, maybe the right word for it is authentic, the way the light refracts, the characters make their stances and the contortions in their expressions, it's a little rough and unpolished but thats the main fucking attraction, im here for that ~15 minute rough outline sketch with a little bit of colour from an extremely talented artist that could make literal "life-like" portraits but decided against it, i've looked everywhere for this art style and have only found a few that could match or even get close to its standards

im not well versed in writing but it certainly was detailed to the point i could make out their movements in my shoddy imagination, the storytelling felt like storytelling. naja's and valaar's advances toward each other didnt feel more forced than it could've been, i was thinking "ok lady now's not the time to show off your ass" but the flirtation was used to get the first blow, it felt sensible. plus the added fact that naja deliberately objectifies her own body to gain an upperhand where ever possible, a little exposition but we're retelling the past so it's ok :) made it make even more sense, this isn't a forced cutesy interaction made by the writer it had actual reasoning behind it, you'd want to strike when most unexpected right? you'd want to gain as many advantages as possible during a fight so you'd do whatever it requires, the back and forth flirts mid fight felt like both of them wanted an upper hand in both physical and verbal

i fail to see ANY flaws in both writing and art style and i mean failure and incompetence not "oh it could be better in this way", yeah it could so shut up, maybe it's just that thing where artists/writers would quit their big project for like 4 years but come back

it isn't a shame to know this little game won't be finished for one reason or another, it brings me genuine pain and hurt to see a gem lost to the winds, the one thing i've been longing for, a good story and some nice plate armour

i hope it continues, it's futile but it doesn't hurt to hope

Real shame that people slept on this project. Prolly abandoned  due to lack of interest from people. Been watching this for a while now and they never got any real funding on patreon. Wish they come back to this at some point or get some other project rolling because this looked really promising and I loved the art style here.

i hate when a game comes along thats truly unique in style and story but gets abandoned. shame.

Well it's been several months since I last checked this game out, but it doesn't look like anythings going on.

Looking at their Twitter account, they recently retweeted something (On April 5th) so I don't think the devs are dead (yet), but I sure as hell didn't find any mention of this game anywhere on their Twitter or Patreon, so I'm just gonna assume they abandoned it, I guess.

Will the game be updated soon?

My friend recommended itch.io to me, and I didn't really pay attention, since the URL gave me the idea it was just some bad web game like all the other .io things.

And then I stumbled upon this gem. God, I wish I had money to support you guys- I mean, I do have money, but how is one to ship cash across the world without any privacy concerns?

The artwork is simple but vivid. The background music gives you the chills in the cold nights and the hot battles. I feel like I'm really there watching it unfold.
